A normal computer wouldn't be so prone to accidentally wiping out 
external drives but Linux makes it trickier because of the command line 
syntax that can fool people, and the risk is just much more pronounced 
than with a pure GUI solution.

Anyone just using a typewriter should suffice with an USB stick right.

You have a local copy and you sync it to the USB stick and that's 
enough.
