It is definitely a hardware problem. It might be worth taking the
panels off and removing and replacing every connector you can see, and
taking out and replacing the RAM chips. If it is ok when cold but
starts failing after it has been on for a while then it may be
overheating. Vacuum out what you can from inside and from the vents.
If you have a compressed air can then even better. Take the battery
out before you start, though you may well have to do that to get the
case open anyway.
