Several years ago I had an ASUS monitor, and it had what appeared as a
dirty smudge about 1-1/2 inches in circumference on the screen. I
eventually replaced it with a 24" Viewsonic
display, and then bought another for another computer, and then bought a
Viewsonic small TV for the dining room, and these are perfect, (altho
the sound from the TV is pretty
poor--I added an external amp and speaker).
