SOLVED - *Ubuntu 16.04 does not "discover" the printer Samsung ML-1660, though "printer-driver-splix" has been installed.

Hello Everybody.

Good news. Today, I did manage to get my printer working via Kubuntu 16.04. 
Somewhere at "Ask Ubuntu", there was an advise to purge and reinstall the 
package "printer-driver-splix". After doing so, I restarted the system, turned 
on the printer and connected it to the usb port of my laptop. At that moment, 
the system recognized and configured the printer.
