Guys,
I'm curious about something here... I'm running Ubuntu 17.04 in my
Macbook, however, I can't access "chat.freenode.net" anymore (starting from
yesterday), look:
---
$ ping chat.freenode.net
ping: chat.freenode.net: Temporary failure in name resolution
---
Both "ping" and "xchat" does not work, same problem... Now, look at this:
---
$ ping4 -c1 chat.freenode.net
PING chat.freenode.net (139.162.227.51) 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from niven.freenode.net (139.162.227.51): icmp_seq=1 ttl=50
time=147 ms
$ ping6 -c1 chat.freenode.net
PING chat.freenode.net(wolfe.freenode.net (2001:948:7:7::140)) 56 data
bytes
64 bytes from wolfe.freenode.net (2001:948:7:7::140): icmp_seq=1 ttl=53
time=150 ms
---
I already rebooted the system, I also rebooted my wifi router...
Same problem if I point "/etc/resolv.conf" to "nameserver 8.8.8.8".
I can see a message on resolv.conf:
"# run "systemd-resolve --status" to see details about the actual
nameservers."
What a heck is going on here? systemd craziness?
Cheers!
Thiago
