Sorry, I wasn't really following lists for a while due to other
priorities. Odd it didn't come up in your searches, though, it's _the_
tool for UEFI issues on Linux.

I'm not sure I've ever tried this, so I can't say.

I had an installation on sda that I wanted to move to sdc. Created
ESP, copied everything over, updated grub and set up a firmware entry
with efibootmgr. Works just fine.

If I can find the time I'll test this and report a bug if there is one.
