Hi,
do you really think you have the abilities to maintain your Ubuntu
install without systemd, if you have to ask this question, while you
already posted the answer?
Take a look at the file lists:
http://packages.ubuntu.com/xenial/amd64/upstart-sysv/filelist
http://packages.ubuntu.com/yakkety/amd64/systemd-sysv/filelist
Consider to stay with systemd and to send a request, how to make
possible what you want to do without systemd, when staying with systemd.
