problems for installing software: What is the code that has to be sent to download and install software from Universe?

I want to get software from Universe, because when choosing a program from
Ubuntu Software Centre it always send you to Universe and then Universe ask
for a code. I am using Ubuntu version 16 in Spanish. So, what is the code or
keyword I must use?

PS:

If packages e.g. should be provided by "universe" and a third party
repository and you want to ensure to get the package from "universe"
and not from the third party repository, you need to mention this.

We need to know exactly what you want to do.

There are several solutions, for several needs, such as e.g. "pinning".
