Nautilus loses history

The package kde-runtime consists of many files, mostly libraries. I'm 
not sure what the file in /user/share/lintian/overrides is good for, but 
it is certainly not necessary for kwallet.

I think the kde-runtime package (including kwallet) was installed with 
the first KDE application you installed - before you installed kubuntu-
desktop. At least konqueror depends on this package.

Somehow I can't believe that so much damage is caused by adding (and 
later uninstalling) KDE packages to the Unity desktop. Could it be that 
there are other issues with your machine?

Using that older backup of $HOME might indeed be useful. But before you 
reinstall, make sure that all your valuable data that have been created 
/ changed after that older backup are preserved.
