As of a couple of weeks ago, I remember reading in a mail sent to the
xubuntu-testers team that it was not recommended to do an image upgrade with
the latest images. There were supposedly known issues that could break your
install, and I don't know if those have been fixed yet. I would probably follow
the recommendations others have made and set up a caching proxy instead.
