There was a security problem a few years ago (?) and the accounts had
to be switched to a different logon system. Perhaps if you didn't go
though those motions, some cleanup mechanism has deleted your account.
Or perhaps, if you can't go through the switch yourself, the forum
admins have some way of helping you.

Why should we care? Why couldn't you set up a different account if
your original one's no longer available?
