Hello all,

With my moderators hat on I'd like to clarify that basically everything
Juan advised is the exact opposite of what is recommended on this list.

Please bottom post and please always post all information to the list
directly, not users. This ensures the information flows logically and to
ensure that anyone else with the issue might be able to benefit from the
answer when it's resolved.

All of the required information about this list can be found at the link
that everyone is sent when they sign up [1] and that page also links to a
global Ubuntu page on general mailing list etiquette [2].

Blind Pete - hopefully someone will be along that has experience with
similar issues to what you are facing and will be able to help out. If you
don't have much luck and you're still experiencing issues that you feel
shouldn't be occurring I'd file a bug directly [3] as it will probably get
to a more specific user base than this list. I'd wait a while first to see
if anyone response on the list.
