Nautilus acting up

Yes, you got my meaning correct. Perhaps the windows are closing, even
though I have been VERY careful to click the proper symbol. I assumed
that they were not closed, just somehow not accessible, so I didn't
see if they were still there in top. I assume that alt tab DOES show
your open instances of Nautilus, which does not happen on my box.

Any thoughts as to why this was happening? I just installed Nemo,
which seems better than Nautilus, and may stick with that. But it
would be nice to know why it happened.
