Just a thought about my problems with VirtualBox seeing usb devices. All of my laptops are IBM Lenovo Thinkpads. Is it possible there is an incompatibility between the way the Ubuntu handles these ports and the way the VirtualBox is expecting them to handled? Regards Peter Goggin
