Yes - that's exactly what I said. The partition is also sdb8,
suggesting that there are at least seven other partitions on that disk,
and probably a disk /dev/sda somewhere too.

So this is not the full story. That is a VERY small system, and this is
most unlikely to be a normal modern computer. It is either a very small
device, or the OP is doing something unusual.
