Hi,

I've run postfix for years (currrently on a ubuntu 15.04 box) and I can't
say I have ever edited the smtpd_hard_error_limit variable.

This is what my system is set to:

smtpd_hard_error_limit = ${stress?1}${stress:20}

See if that helps at all.
