The first thing to learn is, that "Ubuntu based" is not "Ubuntu". As
already pointed out, for some reason users decide to chose something
that is not Ubuntu and as soon as they need support, they guess they
can get support by Ubuntu users, they ignore that they use a distro
with different defaults and perhaps different core components.
Regarding this particular Firefox issue you could ask on a Windows
forum too. Regarding possible customized default settings for Firefox
on Mint, asking here is the same as asking on a Windows forum, both are
the wrong place to expect useful help.
