Good evening all,

As a moderator of the list I'd like to point out the yes Ralf, you were
correct in pointing out the original post was off-topic for the list and
you linked to the appropriate resources. However as Oliver has also
correctly pointed out, some of what you said is likely to taken as
insulting in some cultures/languages. It is likely that some
cultures/languages have read your comments to be insinuating something and
even with the qualifier afterwards it can still be considered insulting.

So with that in mind if everyone can please remember the international
nature of this list when posting to it. If we can all please move along
from this thread to something more productive that would be greatly
appreciated.

If anyone would like to continue the conversation or seek clarification
please do so with the mailing list moderation team [1]. We are always more
than happy to discuss issues off list for anyone with any concerns, as per
the FAQ [2].
