I think it is important to note the first answer to this question will
only work for services managed by systemd, and the second only works
for services managed by SysVinit, and thus will not work if the
postfix service is managed by Upstart. I recommend reading
http://askubuntu.com/a/19324/29183 for details on general-purpose
service management on recent versions of Ubuntu (including 14.04 LTS).
