That gives:
Synchronizing state for rc.local.service with sysvinit using
update-rc.d... Executing /usr/sbin/update-rc.d rc.local
defaults Executing /usr/sbin/update-rc.d rc.local
enable Failed to execute operation: No such file or directory
Besides, it does appear to have been enabled by default.
sudo sysv-rc-conf gives:
rc.local [ ] [x] [x] [x] [x] [ ] [ ] [ ]
