Your printer has a bad connection. (or your usb is broken, but let's try
the easy one first.)... disconnect both ends of your printer cable and
re-connect, if the problem persists, try a new cable, or connect your
printer to a different usb port.
If you are using more than 10' of usb cable to connect the printer, try
a to relocated it and test with a short cable. If that solves the
issue, you can use a powered usb hub along the length of your cabling to
extend the range you need.
