Printing JPEG Images on HP LaserJet 1212nf

Hi,

I have an Ubuntu 14.04 box connected to a Multifunction HP LaserJet 1212nf
printer.

Every time I try to print a JPEG image (using the default GNOME Image
Viewer) I get black lines all over the page.

I imported the image to a blank LibreOffice Impress document - and it
worked....

Printing PDF without any problems...

Any ideas?
