Agreed, the best there is, but note that it is not only not-open-source, 
it is only free for personal use.

Chrome Remote Assistance is free for commercial use.  A drawback: the 
non-beta version requires a user at the target desktop to issue an 
invitation PIN (at least the last time I checked on the state of 
development).
