Grub problem since update

To me it looks like you had installed grub to the MBR with both 14.04 
and 12.04. IIRC, the grub update reinstalled the boot loader which 
replaced the 14.04 menu with the 12.04 menu. I would suggest you boot 
into 14.04 and install the updates there as well. If the grub update 
really replaces the boot loader, you should now have the old 14.04 menu 
back.
