Put System Monitor up in the top bar. When I have lots of tabs open
in multiple browsers and/or have OpenOffice/LibreOffice open and/or
various other apps, my computer does the same thing. I have will have
little to no cpu activity but my memory is maxed out. If it is a browser
issue you cant just close tabs. You have to restart that browser so it
will release the memory.
Try that.
