Maybe it's because I run with cookies and scripts disabled, but the page
was not confusing at all for me.
Obviously one ignores the "Buy Now" button and inspects the rest of the
page. After the briefest of brief searches[1] one locates a menu across
the top with "Download" clearly visible. Should one miss this menu item,
however, and scroll on down the page, one quite quickly locates a bloody
great big "Get Ubuntu Desktop" link down the bottom. If one somehow
avoids both those, and accidentally clicks on the "Server" or "Desktop"
menu item, one ends up in each case on a page with a prominent
"Download" button. and of course all these pages still have the menu
across the top.
I can't help feeling that if one is still confused after all that, one
may not be trying hard enough.
Or is it that people with scripts enabled get shunted into an
alternative Canonical universe?
Regards, K.
