15.04, how to downgrade kate / kde

Hi there,
in my fresh 15.04 installation I find, that kate 5.0.0 is riddled with problems.
As this is "my" editor of long standing, I want to downgrade to an older version.

No my question:
where do I find the latest 4.xx Version
How do I install it.
Can I just download it and install it with dpkg?
