Resolution on a unknokn monitor - error X Error of failed request: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)

I tried to force the addition of the new mode on the right dispay(VGA-0) like this: 
root at TIV:/home/victor# xrandr --display VGA-0 --newmode "1920x1080_60.00" 172.80 1920 2040 2248 2576 1080 1081 1084 1118 -HSync +Vsync 

But I can't, the error is "Can't open display VGA-0".

I think the problem is this line " xrandr --newmode "1920x1080_60.00" 173.00 1920 2048 2248 2576 1080 1083 1088 1120 -hsync +vsync ". 
Is there some randr option to force the newmode to be added on the VGA-0 instead DVI(my working display is VGA-0)?

Hello 
I can't increase the rezolution on a monitor to 1920x1080. 
The monitor knows this resolution, I had it working in 1920x1080 in Windows. 
This is what I tried(the monitor with the problem is VGA-0, I have 2 monitors):

I'm adding the new mode but as you already see is not adding where I want it, it goes on DVI instead od VGA-0:
