I don't use Virtualbox, I only use kvm/qemu now, but I've used VMware
in the past, and it had support for simply dragging and dropping files
to Windows guests - does Virtualbox support that? For this to work in
VMware you had to install the VMware Tools, and I know Virtualbox has
something called Guest Additions - maybe you could check that out?
If absolutely everything else fails, you can get a 30-day free licence
for VMware Workstation from their website, set up your Windows VM
using that, and then use the free (as in beer) VMware Player (which
isn't restricted to 30 days) to run the VM in the future.
IMHO, and I hate advocating a commercial product, but I always liked
VMware Workstation much better than Virtualbox anyways. It also seemed
to have more features and better performance, YMMV.
I'm sorry, but those are the best suggestions I have.
