Wanted: Pro to build dual boot Ubuntu

Thanks Karl that sounds a lot better than dual boot.
I will buy a newer Windows , but Win 8 seems to be a major learning
curve from XP.
My desktop is 2005 vintage and 14.04 warns me that my graphics hardware
is probably too old.
So that is why I aim to replace the machine.
