configure static ip address with yast

Not sure why you would ask about Yast on an Ubuntu list since it's a SUSE
tool.

Yast requires you to put the static IP in a separate menu from the gateway
and the DNS information.  The search domain is the domain the computer is a
part of ie server1.foo.com most likely searches foo.com when it looks for
other computers.  Make sure to put the gateway IP in the Routing tab or you
will not have a working connection.
