Can't Install Skype on Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit

After I saw your post I installed Skype as I hadn't got round to it since 
upgrading to xubuntu 14.10. It seemed to work fine but it was 32 bit xubuntu..

I saw that post on Mint. I thought I'd try their Mint xcfe on my spare 
machine... the install failed.

Skype claim the download is dual arch... which it obviously isn't. Those 
packages are 32 bit so a 32 bit ubuntu install would seem to be a solution.
