Shockwave Flash

    File: libflashplayer.so
    Path: /usr/lib/adobe-flashplugin/libflashplayer.so
    Version: 11.2.202.418
    State: Enabled
    Shockwave Flash 11.2 r202

Note the location and the file. Check to see if you have
libflashplayer.so installed in the same location. Also check in Firefox
by entering 'about:plugins' in the url address bar. Check in
'Tools|Add-ons|Plugins to see if Flash is 'Always Activate' (it's
possible that you have it set for 'Never Activate'.

~$ apt-cache policy adobe-flashplugin
adobe-flashplugin:
  Installed: 11.2.202.418-0trusty1
  Candidate: 11.2.202.418-0trusty1
  Version table:
 *** 11.2.202.418-0trusty1 0

I see that you got Chromium working with PepperFlash, but find Opera
slow? I have three versions of Opera installed:

Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux x86_64; Edition Next) Presto/2.12.388 Version/12.16
and
Opera/9.80 (X11; Linux x86_64) Presto/2.12.388 Version/12.16
and
Opera-beta
Version:	26.0.1656.17

and all are very fast.
