how to change behavior for auto mount of usb drives in 14.04

I am not sure what the correct terminology is for what I 
want to do so I'm having trouble searching for a solution. 
In 12.04 if I put in a usb drive it automounted it as 
/media/drivename. Now in 14.04 it mounts drives as 
/media/username/drivename.  I have a ton of scripts that use 
/media/drivename. Is there a way to change the behavior of 
automount so it goes back to mounting drives as  
/media/drivename ?
