UEFI and 14.04 ubuntu install

I have a Dell xps 12 with Windows 8.1 that I want ubuntu 14.04 on.

I have a bootable usb with Ubuntu on it and works. To get the USB to work I
had to turn off fastboot and change UEFI to legacy.

My question is: how do I restore fastboot and UEFI ? also I don't want to
save Windows.
