installing subversion 1.7 on 14.04

Usually it is possible to install packages from older Ubuntu releases. 
Therefore I would try to uninstall 1.8 and install 1.7 from a previous 
Ubuntu release. Hopefully there are no dependencies of other installed 
packages which would prevent that.
