Ah, well, then, in that case, I'm afraid I don't know. I'd have
suggested updating the kernel too and you can't, you're on the current
one.
Does a different OS on the machine have the same problem? Do you
dual-boot? If not you might be able to test it with a LiveCD or
bootable USB.

such it might also be worth a try with the pre-release test version of
Trusty.
Also, it might be worth checking your firmware is fully updated.
Other than that, I've nothing inspired to suggest, I'm sorry to say.
