Hello again,
Just thought you might like to know that I've managed to successfully
send a test mail using nullmailer.
I gave up trying to do it using smtp.ntlworld.com and used
smtp.gmail.com instead. My /etc/nullmailer/remotes file now looks like this:
smtp.gmail.com smtp --port=465 --auth-login
--user=<myusername>@gmail.com --pass=<mypassword> --ssl
I didn't particularly want to use gmail but as it works I guess I can
live with it.
I found the following tutorials quite useful:
http://blog.janjonas.net/2011-04-22/configure-nullmailer-smtp-authentication
http://raspberry.znix.com/2013/03/nullmailer-on-raspberry-pi.html
- much more so than the official nullmailer documentation.
Thanks to compdoc and Gene Heskett for trying to help.
Cheers,
Graham
