openssl update?

Thanks, Colin. Its Ubuntu 10.04 LTS, (spouse's machine, and won't
permit upgrade,) and both Firefox and Chrome lockup when launched. No
errors, just spinning "Connecting," forever. There are other stability
issues, like emacs locks up, too.
