Well, I've updated to MInt 16 and the password requirement described
above is still the same. :(

Is there anything you had to do with your 14.04 box to establish that?
That is all the problem is.

Same here, I was hoping I didn't have to enter the ring password
everytime I boot up tho, like on your 14.04 box.

LOL. Sadly I chose BTGuard, I have several tickets since starting with
them a week ago and not one response. I'm about to make a complaint to
my bank and see if I can get their credit card services suspended.

If I can get this present contract cancelled which I believe under UK
consumer law I can, then I'll give Private Internet Access a try.
