Yeah, I tend to agree.

I logged in overnight to the guest account & sure enough this morning 
I'd lost the ability to click anything. A reboot back into my regular 
user account cured it.

What's more annoying is that the problem is very intermittent making it 
hard to track down.

If it continues, I'll attempt to file a bug at Launchpad but I've very 
little technical evidence to go on apart from the fact that it happens 
in the first place.

If I discover the root cause, I'll post my findings here.
