unable to mount external usb hard disk

Hi folks

I have an external USB hard disk. I use Lubuntu 13.10 64bit. When I plug in
the device to my pc it can't recognize the HD.

If I type lsusb I get the message

Bus 002 Device 006: ID 14cd:6116 Super Top M6116 SATA Bridge.

I found also other posts in the net concerning problem relative to this
hub, but it seems that nobody solved the compatibility problem.

Could you help me?
