Ubuntu 12.04 install of Plustek NR-030108 M12 scanner

Don, try going to your the scanners manufacturer website and download whatever drivers it may need. Not all manufactures have Linux drivers however some do. I had a similar issue, i just used the CD that came with mine. Hope this helps
