2 TB external HD does not mount any more. How to save it's data?

Now, I carry out 3 tests.

> Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
> Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Here, the external HD shows up.

In this case, the device is NOT being shown.
GParted does see it, however, it mentions the following:
> Input/output error during read on /dev/sdb.
