Hi all
using 12.04.05, 2 nvidia cards, 3 monitors. last week an update borked the
one card, now only 2 monitors work. nvidia settings didnt show the second
card, updated from 304 to 331 thinking that would help. no dice. went
back to 304, and using edgers ppa via some forum post i read, and now the
2nd nvidia card shows up in nvidia-settings.
trying to activate the 2nd card, im given a "new x screen required", no big
deal, its always done that. then click save to x config file, as always,
and receive the error "unable to open x config file for writing" . tried
nvidia settings as root as well, same error message.
