14.04 - keyboard loosing configuration

Yes, me too. On both my 14.04 systems.

At work I have a Czech system & Czech keyboard layout, but I have a UK
keyboard plugged in & need to use Windows' controls to switch. This
means I'm used to switching layouts, which I do several times a day.

So on Ubuntu I just added the layout switcher, a US layout, and the
panel control... and when my keyboard occasionally goes wonky, I
switch manually to US layout, then switch back again. This resolves it
but it's annoying.
