Skype woes

Could be. Does software center do something during an uninstall that
apt does not do? I would think it was the same, but don't know.

Also, after the two separate uninstalls, I still had some files with
skype in the name, but no skype or skype-bin. It seemed as though
uninstalling skype-bin did the trick, but that by itself seems to not
be enough. In that respect, it would seem as though you did a more
thorough job of removing things. It would be good to know what's
really needed to get 4.3 to work. When I did the reinstall of just
"skype", software center again had two separate entries, as it did
before, one for skype and one for skype-bin. Seems a bit odd to me...
