Hi,

I did say I didn't know if it was your issue, with such a new machine I 
doubt it!

Now you say the age of the machine I wonder if an EFI (secure boot) 
issue has reared it's ugly head! I have no machines new enough for that 
to be an issue for me (and if I was to buy a new machine it would be 
naked at the time of purchase as I refuse to use any of Satan's sporn, 
sorry I mean Windows!!)

I am sure someone one this list has more experience of EFI than me, and 
will be able to advise you further.
