UbuntuGNOME 14.04

Gary,

Just type : sudo apt-get install ubuntu-gnome-desktop
Then set your login manager as gdm : sudo dpkg-reconfigure gdm
Then from login screen make sure you select GNOME as your session

Then again, I wrote most of this in my original post... :)
