Why has ClamAV just been installed on my 12.10 system?

Thanx, Jim. I have just enabled it, and I wonder if there will be any
indication of its operation. I don't know if I've ever gotten anything
that might be considered a virus to Linux. Also wonder if TB
automatically recognizes clamav as the anti-virus program. And if
it will put the suspected message in a file somewhere for analysis.
I figure it probably won't hurt anything, assuming it all comes together.
